Feb 1, 2024 · Children—At first, 5 mcg once a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed. For thyroid cancer: Adults and children—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor. For thyroid problem diagnosis: Adults— 75 to 100 micrograms (mcg) once a day for 7 days.
