Lum the Invader Girl (/ l ʌ m /), known in Japan simply as Lum (Japanese: ラム, Hepburn: Ramu), is a fictional character and the female protagonist of Rumiko Takahashi's manga series Urusei Yatsura. She is often believed to be the main protagonist of the series due to her iconic status.

The computer-selected human player is Ataru Moroboshi, a lecherous, unlucky and academically unsuccessful high school student from the fictional Tomobiki Town (友引町) in Nerima, Japan, and the Oni player is Lum, daughter of the leader of the alien invaders.
When aliens known as the Oni threaten to invade the Earth, they promise to leave under one condition—a randomly-chosen human must win a one-on-one game of tag against Lum, the beautiful daughter of the Oni leader.
Lum's ex-fiancé, Rei, comes to Earth to propose to her. Although he transforms into a huge beast when upset, he is incredibly handsome in his normal state. However, Lum categorically turns him down because she can't stand his gluttony.
