We focus our education funding on the rural Southwest, primarily offering scholarships to students in the greater Texas panhandle.

The foundation was formed by Carl Thoma and Marilynn Thoma in 2014. The Thomas donated their personal collection of over 1500 works, which they had begun collecting in 1975, to the foundation. The foundation's collection focuses primarily on three areas: digital art, Spanish Colonial art and Japanese contemporary painting and sculpture.
