Jan 18, 2005 · Ms. Mayo married Michael O'Shea, the actor, in 1947. He died in 1973. They had one daughter, Mary Catherine Johnston, who survives her, along with three grandsons.
Virginia Mayo. Virginia Mayo (born Virginia Clara Jones; November 30, 1920 – January 17, 2005) was an American actress and dancer. She was in a series of popular comedy films with Danny Kaye and was Warner Bros. biggest box-office draw in the late 1940s. [1] She also co-starred in the 1946 Oscar -winning movie The Best Years of Our Lives.
Mayo married O’Shea in 1947, and they remained together until his death in 1973. She is survived by their daughter, Mary Johnston; and three grandsons. Funeral services will be private.
