The Church and Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, meaning "Monastery of St. Vincent Outside the Walls", is a 17th-century church and monastery in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It is one of the most important monasteries and mannerist buildings in the country.
This monastery dedicated to St. Vincent dates from 1582, and has the world’s most extensive collection of baroque tiles in its richly-decorated cloisters. It includes a series of 38 panels illustrating the fables of La Fontaine, created by master Policarpo de Oliveira Bernardes between 1740 and 1750.

The church is the most sacred point of the monastic complex. It was commissioned by King D. Afonso Henriques, in 1147 shortly after the Siege of Lisbon, precisely where one of the crusaders’ military encampments was located. The temple was dedicated to Saint Vincent, who is also the patron saint of the city of Lisbon.
