Monica (Mônica in the original) is the protagonist of Monica's Gang. She was created by Mauricio de Sousa in 1963, and first appeared in a comic strip alongside Jimmy Five. She is a super strong 7 year-old and is voiced by Marli Bortoletto in the Brazilian animated version of the comic book series.

Apr 24, 2024 · In the 70s stories, she is seen doing several bad things. She also can be seen throwing tantrums in some 90s stories, although it's likely intentional because Mauricio de Sousa's daughter of the same name, who inspired the character, was really a tantrum thrower when she was a kid.
Monica, the leader of the crew and 'ruler of the street,' is a little girl with a strong personality, not one to overlook any insult. She absolutely loves her stuffed bunny, Samson, and takes him with her everywhere. Jimmy Five, one of her best friends, is a smart kid, but he's always provoking her.
