You commit to a minimum two years (and four years maximum) of full-time service. You must serve at an NHSC-approved site in a HPSA. The total number of years you serve depends on the number of school years of NHSC Scholarship support you receive. (The funding cannot exceed four school years.)

Payment of educational expenses
We provide financial support for full-time enrollment in an eligible degree or training program for primary care health professions for up to four school years: 1. Payment of tuition and eligible fees 2. An annual payment for other reasonable educational costs (PDF - 310 KB) 3. Monthly stipends to assist with living expenses while pursuing your degree or educational training program for a health professions degree Note:You will not receive financial support during postgraduate training.
