Broadway’s “ Waitress ” offered a special homage to one of its original cast members when it reopened this week after an 18-month closure. Jul 5, 2020 · Nick Cordero, the charming Tony-nominated actor known for his work in 'Bullets Over Broadway,' 'Waitress' and 'A Bronx Tale the Musical,' died Sunday after a battle with the novel coronavirus.
He left Waitress to join the Broadway premiere of the musical A Bronx Tale, playing Sonny at the Longacre Theatre starting on November 3, 2016. For this role, Cordero was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical in 2017.
