The Oneida Stake Academy in Preston, Idaho, has been the focus of fund-raising efforts for at least two years, but to date the $1.2 million needed to move it from its present location hasn’t been raised.

By the 1920s, it became Preston High School; then an “auxiliary building,” when a brand new high school was built; then an event center that fell into disrepair. By the late 1990s, the academy was condemned. The school district set a March 2003 deadline for its demolition.
The Oneida Stake Academy was a secondary school operated by the Oneida Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1888 to 1922. The academy building was constructed in Preston, Idaho , in 1895, after the stake headquarters moved from Franklin, Idaho , in 1889.
