Absolutely breathtaking! The Palace of Versailles is enormous and overwhelmingly beautiful. Major areas include the Hall of Mirrors, the King's Grand Apartments, and the Royal Chapel. The gardens are the highlight for me—simply stunning! I paid for a guided tour, but you can explore on your own.

To be quite honest, Versailles is huge and covers a great expanse of land and the palace is enormous, but we have seen much more opulent palaces and grounds in St. Petersburg, at Peterhof Palace, Catherine the Great's Palace, and of course the Hermitage.
