In his own right, Pete Teo is no newcomer to the music scene. The Sabahan began his musical career writing for UK’s Channel 4 at 18. He was one half of the duo ‘Mid Century’, the other being Grace Au. Following its success on the collegial circuit in London, he was offered recording deals in Hong Kong. There, he also wrote film scores.
RUSTIC LIVING FOR URBANITES. This is the project website for my debut solo album 'Rustic Living For Urbanites'. Released in 2003, the album was nominated for 4 AIM awards and includes hit singles 'Jesselton Tonight' and 'Arms Of Marianne'. The site was designed by Marcus Ericsson and has won awards all over the world.
Life and career. Teo was born in Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia.He began his career with two albums as a member of the cult Hong Kong indie duo "Mid-Century" 「中葉」. He subsequently released two solo albums – Rustic Living for Urbanites (2003 / produced by Ronan Chris Murphy) and Television (2006 / produced by Nick Lee & Pete Teo) on his own label Redbag Music.
