Griffith made many short comedies at L-KO, most of which were directed by Henry "Pathe" Lerhman. In March of 1916, he left L-KO and went to Mack Sennett's studios at Triangle. He apparently only appeared in five comedy shorts there, and usually in a supporting role.
He soldiered on despite his vocal handicap, and made two sound short subjects in 1929. Alas, it was impossible to be a featured actor in the new medium with a voice that barely rose above a whisper.
