Rose Beuret (born Marie Rose Beuret; 9 June 1844 – 14 February 1917 [1]) was a French seamstress and laundress, known to have been one of the muses and, for 53 years, the companion of Auguste Rodin, whom she married just weeks before her death in 1917.
Rose Beuret (1844-1917) was one of Rodin's first models and his companion of fifty-three years. An uneducated seamstress from the countryside, she maintained Rodin’s studio in their youthful poverty, bore his son, Auguste-Eugène Beuret (1866–1934), and served him throughout her life.
