Unveiled at the 2013 Route 66 International Festival, Route 66 Mural Park is a destination for US Route 66 tourists. The park includes two large tile murals proposed by Paul Whitehill, and produced by Images In Tile USA and designed by artists Chris Auckerman and Jon White.
The two murals located at the Route 66 Mural Park were created by Images in Tile. The top mural, "Cruisin" into Joplin consists of 540 tiles and the other mural, The American Ribbon consists of 180 tiles.
