Safe Haven rescues, rehabilitates and finds permanent, loving homes for cats and kittens who have been abandoned, abused, injured or surrendered in York County, Maine. Our no-kill, all-volunteer non-profit organization has been a literal safe haven for thousands of at-risk felines.
Safe Haven is a county wide humane society supported entirely by community donations and dedicated volunteers. We place no time limit on the length of stay once a cat or dog has been accepted into our adoption program.

At SafeHaven Humane Society, we adopt out more than 2,300 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens every year! Our goal is to find permanent and loving homes for all of the animals entrusted to our care and our staff is more than happy to help you find the perfect match for you!
