From the middle of Anastasia State Park to A Street, 2.5 million cubic yards of sand will be put on the beach at a cost of $40 million, which will be paid by the federal government. The project is scheduled to begin November 1, 2023, and be finished by June 30, 2024, or earlier.

Project Details. The project consists of a 50-year federal commitment to design, construct and monitor beach restoration of the severely eroded beaches of Anastasia State Park and St. Augustine Beach.
The newly restored Solarium offers one of the best views of historic downtown St. Augustine. The domed, sunlit main room overlooks the Courtyard as the Terraces offer views of Memorial Presbyterian Church, the town plaza, the Cathedral Basilica, the beaches, and the lighthouse.
