Program overview. The Development Program finances Canadian feature films at the development stage. The Development Program has four streams: Prequalified Stream. General Stream. Indigenous Stream. Stream for Black and People of Colour.
Applications for most of our funding programs are submitted through Dialogue, our online application portal. The program webpage specifies how your application should be submitted.

This investment aimed to provide better access to a diverse range of creators and producers, support sustainable practices, and respond to the needs of an evolving audiovisual industry.

Telefilm supports Indigenous creators through its dedicated Indigenous Funding streams, and through its regional and national streams. Indigenous filmmakers are not required to submit through the Indigenous-specific funding streams and may submit to any stream to which they are eligible.
