Jul 27, 2023 · Rosa rugosa Therese Bugnet is a popular shrub rose cultivar known for its hardiness, vigorous growth, and disease resistance. It is a hybrid of Rosa rugosa and a hybrid tea rose, and was developed by Georges Bugnet in Canada in the 1950s.
With the beauty of a Damask Rose, Thérése Bugnet has 4” blossoms with 30+, old-fashioned, ruffled petals in lilac pink. This repeat bloomer offers up a spicy fragrance that can vary from mild to very strong. Her blooms are produced on nearly thornless canes, featuring softer prickles.
