The Medina Railroad Museum features the largest Railroad and Toy Train Museum in New York State. We house a huge HO-Scale model train layout, 204 feet by 14 feet, as well as large fire fighting exhibits. Located in the old New York Central freight depot in Medina, NY, the Medina RR Museum is one of the largest freight depot museums in the country.

November 24, 1997. The Medina Railroad Museum is a railroad museum located at 530 West Avenue in Medina, New York, which is northeast of Buffalo and northwest of Rochester . The museum is housed in one of the largest standing wooden freight depots, built in 1905. The museum is temporarily closed for the winter and will reopen in the spring.

The train was a lovely restored model, very spacious with big comfortable seats. Prior to getting on board, we visited the amazing Medina Railway Museum (free admission) filled with a miles-long track and lots of miniature scenes. I was pleased to know that the train ride ticket sales were actually a fund-raiser in support of the museum.
