   • Their Own Desire is a mildly entertaining melodrama. It isn't as clunky as most early sound films, and the performances are all good. The dialogue is pretty horrendous, though it gives us gems like "My Parisian pants are quite an Eiffel!". Norma Shearer is quite good in the lead, and Robert Montgomery was his usual solid self.
