Apr 23, 2018 · She gets him in the end, though, when Donna does the decent thing and sticks by banker hubby, leaving Guthrie, crime solved and villain dead (I shall not reveal who the guilty party was) to ride off into the sunset.
Even though Jim Guthrie (Dana Andrews) clears his name, he leaves the town that accused him and tried to lynch him over Carter’s murder. Because sometimes, the surprise “spoiler” ending is the only reason you’d pay $11 to see what is otherwise a turkey of a film.
