Jun 7, 2019 · You can also print the lamp and Bible that is in the adult bulletin board pack (found here). I turned the lights off and let them turn on their flashlights to see the difference that a shining light makes. Obvious, I know, but it helps the kids see where I was going with the lesson.
(Light one candle on a candle stand of 4 or 5 and then turn out the lamp and the lights.) This candle puts forth just a little light, but any darkness that is near the candle disappears. Imagine this candle is God’s Word in your heart.

Children’s Message: Shine the Light of Jesus’ Love! Share this children’s message with kids to encourage them to shine bright with the light of Jesus’ love each and every day. Scripture: Matthew 5:15-16. You’ll need: Prep: Turn off all the lights and have a small lamp with a lampshade lit in the middle of the room.
Sin brings darkness instead of light. Remember, Jesus said we are not to put our lamp under a basket and hide it. The next time you feel think about hiding your Christian faith, remember Jesus told us to let our lights shine so that others seeing our good works, would glorify our Father in heaven.
