Feb 19, 2023 · The Vienna Central Cemetery was established in 1874 and covers over 2.5 square kilometers of land, making it one of the largest cemeteries in Europe. The cemetery was designed by famous Viennese architect, Karl von Hasenauer, and includes a variety of different burial sections, including Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, and Muslim sections.
