Soldier Dog is a young adult novel by Sam Angus. Set in 1917, the penultimate year of World War I, it concerns a young man named Stanley who runs away from home and enlists in the army to find his older brother, Tom. Stanley is made a keeper of specially trained canines that relay messages to the front lines of battle and back to army commanders.
