- Bangor. Historical Landmark. Located in County Down, the beautiful town of Bangor is situated on the southern side of Belfast Lough. It is close to Belfast city and a popular seaside resort, meaning it is the perfect location for tourists.
- Carrickfergus. Historical Landmark. Situated in County Antrim, Carrickfergus is found on the northern shore of Belfast Lough. The town’s name comes from the Irish, meaning “rock of Fergus”, which pays reference to Fergus Mór mac Eirc, the sixth-century king of Dál Riata.

- Belfast City Hall. The Belfast City Hall, built in 1906, is the center piece of the city. The beautiful Baroque Revival architecture is 100% worth seeing; the 4 towers, one at each corner, have a very unique green dome, found on other buildings in Belfast.
- Church House. The Church House is a Presbyterian Church in Beflast, built in 1905. The whole building, built in Gothic style, looks epic and it’s worth at least walking by to see it.
- Grand Opera House. Belfast Grand Opera House, built in 1895, is an icon in Northern Ireland, and probably the most famous theatre of Northern Ireland.
- John Bell House. You don’t often associate Belfast with John Bell House, but I think it’s one of my favorite building in Belfast! Distance from City Hall: 5 minutes walking time.
- Crumlin Road Gaol – our favourite thing to do in Belfast. Possibly the best and most intriguing historical museum in the city is Crumlin Road Gaol. Located, you guessed it, on the Crumlin Road.
- Black Taxi Tour – for a unique tour of Belfast’s dark past. The legacy of The Troubles is almost unavoidable if you want to understand Northern-Irish society.
- St. George’s Market – for fantastic local food and vibes. Located close to the River Lagan is St. George’s Market, the last-surviving Victorian covered market in the city.
- Titanic Belfast – learn about the world’s most-famous shipwreck. Everyone has heard the story of the RMS Titanic – the famous 20th-century ship that tragically sank on its maiden voyage.

The Provisional IRA detonated 22 bombs within the confines of Belfast city centre on 21 July 1972, on what is known as Bloody Friday, killing nine people.
