    The Jungang line from Seoul's Chongnyangni station serves Jecheon and Danyang. The Chungbuk line from Bongyang (near Jecheon) to Jochiwon, on the main Seoul-Busan Line, passes through the province lengthwise, stopping at both Cheongju and Chungjualong the way. A third line runs from Jecheon all the way the east coast. The Gyeongbu rail line crosses to the extreme southern part of the province and stops at Okcheon and Yeongdong.
