  1. Jun 30, 2020 · 1941 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. It would seem that with a few jiggles of the outside door handle, my drivers side door can be unlocked. As I jiggle the outside handle, I can see the inside handle move slowly into the unlocked position, and then can open the door. 1. Anyone else experience this, know what the problem could be, or know the fix? 2.

  2. Sep 1, 2010 · Ever since I've had my truck (since 2006) the damn driver's door seems to jiggle slightly while driving. Its def locked in tight because I've tried pulling it in and pushing it from the outside and doesn't seem to move. Seems like its up and down. Anyone else have/had this problem and how did ya fix it? Driving me nuts!

  3. Nov 2, 2007 · I have found a work around, jiggle the handle, literally. If I lift up on the handle (numerous times) while using the keyless entry, it'll eventual come up. But now I can tell my handle's getting loose, so I guess it's time to really fix it.

  4. May 1, 2012 · To get inside the door, you need to remove the interior door handle, armrest and door panel. Removing the panel means carefully popping the panel retaining clips free from the door itself. Raise the window so the glass and window mechanism are out of the way.

  5. Mar 11, 2006 · Mine did this several months back- the spring to return the door handle to the down position broke. I had to jiggle the handle to get the keyless to bump up the lock. End result- bad door handle. Let's just say it is not fun drilling out the rivets and it takes a rivet gun the size of a pipe wrench to replace them! Hope this isn't it!

  6. Nov 12, 2011 · Remove the door panel and look, you might already have bolts. You would only see two nuts from inside the door on the back side of the handle. If its rivets drill the out from under the handle, pop loose the connecting rod and replace it with your new handle. Do not break the plastic slip connector.
