Oct 5, 2011 · Neither barn door closes tightly as a result. I also can't get my driver's door to close tightly. Issue 2: Passenger window "works" but it takes pulling up on it and reversing it back and forth to get it up, if that makes sense. Feels like we'll break the handle off. Issue 3: Driver's side turn signal works, but it doesn't always flash on the dash.
Apr 26, 2012 · After a few months of being loose, one of my rear door handles finally spun on the splines and fell off in my hand. The splines are pretty stripped. I could probably get it to stick a while longer with a few taps of a hammer, but I was wondering if there was a better solution.
Jun 30, 2020 · 1941 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. It would seem that with a few jiggles of the outside door handle, my drivers side door can be unlocked. As I jiggle the outside handle, I can see the inside handle move slowly into the unlocked position, and then can open the door. 1. Jun 16, 2012 · The door opens OK and the friction between the plunger and hole it sits in seems to be enough to keep it from coming out while driving (with the large spring removed). There is another spring somewhere inside the mechanism that is keeping it operational. I have not taken he entire handle out if the door and really don't want too.

What has happened to me every time they break is first the handle cracks. next the lever that does the actual opening breaks off.
