     This is a typo in the tutorial. You can check here that creating a List has no implementations of List<type><othertype>.

     You may pass a int32 value or IEnumerable<T> which will specify your list size, however List<T><T> simply does not compile.

     Edit: As pointed out in the comments by Ant P, nothing in C# allows for Anything<T><T>, so if you ever run across that, it will not compile.

     Sadly as far as I know there's no way to really blindly unpack an indefinitely nested list in python.

     Op appears to have attempted to copy from

     Making a flat list out of list of lists in Python

     flatten = lambda l: [item for sublist in l for item in sublist]-

     I tested the above on python 3.6, four-nested structure. Sadly it only unpacks the outer layer. I need to use it in a loop three times to fully unpack the structure.

     import numpy as npx = np.arange(625).reshape(5,5,5,-1).tolist() #4-nested structureflatten = lambda x: [item for sublist in x for item in sublist]y = flatten(x) #results in 3-nested structure of length 25.

     The same problem also exists for the more versatile below function (which requires an import):

     from itertools import chainy = list(chain.from_iterable(x)) #as per flatten() above, unpacks one level

     For multiple layers and if you're not too concerned about overhead, you could just do the following:

     import numpy as npy = np.array(x).flatten().tolist() #where x is any list / tuple / numpy array / #iterable

     p.s. Ahsanul Hafique's unpacking illustrates the logic of the lambda function as requested by op. I don't believe in lambda functions and you just have to look at Ahsanul's unpacking to see why. It would be trivial to factor out the unpacking , while in the main function check if the sublist is a list or list element, and unpack or append as appropriate and thus create a completely versatile list unpacker using two functions.

     >>> is the unsigned bitwise right-shift operator. 0x0F is a hexadecimal number which equals 15 in decimal. It represents the lower four bits and translates the the bit-pattern 0000 1111. & is a bitwise AND operation.

     (x >>> 4) & 0x0F gives you the upper nibble of a byte. So if you have 6A, you basically end up with 06:

     6A = ((0110 1010 >>> 4) & 0x0F) = (0000 0110 & 0x0F) = (0000 0110 & 0000 1111) = 0000 0110 = 06

     x & 0x0F gives you the lower nibble of the byte. So if you have 6A, you end up with 0A.

     6A = (0110 1010 & 0x0F) = (0110 1010 & 0000 1111) = 0000 1010 = 0A

     From what I can tell, it looks like it is summing up the values of the individual nibbles of all characters in a string, perhaps to create a checksum of some sort.

     The body of a for loop can be any statement. That includes a compound statement:

     for(...) { do_something;}-

     Or a single statement:

     for(...) do_something;-

     One of the types of statements is a null statement, which is just ;. So this:

     for (length = 0; t[length]; length++);-

     Is a loop whose body is the null statement ;. It's the same as:

     for (length = 0; t[length]; length++) {}-

     It is a cast to a function pointer (with no returned result and no arguments). I prefer using typedef to define signature of such functions:

     typedef void plainsig_t(void);-

     then simply code

     (*(plainsig_t*)shellcode) ();-

     For function pointers, you don't need to dereference them, so it is shorter to just code:

     ((plainsig_t*) shellcode) ();-

     which basically calls the function whose machine code is located inside shellcode memory zone.

     BTW, this is not strictly portable C. In principle, there is no guarantee that you can cast a data pointer to a function pointer. (On some weird processors -e.g. embedded microcontrollers, DSP, 1970s era computers-, code and data sit in different address spaces, or have different pointer sizes, etc....). But most common processors and ABI (x86-64/Linux, ARM/Android, ....) have the same address space for code and for data and accept casting function pointers to data pointers and vice versa.
