    The celebration is NYC’s largest and longest-running Italian festivaland celebrates Italian culture and food, with religious processions, parades, and live music among other festivities.

    Beginning on Thursday, September 14, you’ll have plenty of time to chow down on all the cannolis and zeppole Little Italy has to offer. A few weeks ahead of the festival you’ll probably see all of the festive decorations ready to go and lining the streets in anticipation of the week-and-a-half-long celebration.     Though final event details are to follow soon, we can only hope this year brings back the pizza eating contest, zeppole eating contest and meatball eating contest! Some other typical events each year include musical performances and The Grand Procession with floats, celebrities, gondolas, and more.
