Oct 17, 2017 · Right, the 130 amp alternator was not an option for the trucks but was with some of the vans. I recall reading a few users using the van 130 amp alternator on their trucks with a 5.0/5.8 with no issues, plug and play apparently. Yeah, an E350 van 130A alternator bolted right into my 96 F150 (5.8L).

Ford's last year for the generator was 1964. The early 641/2 Mustangs had a generator, the 65s had an alternator. I stand corrected.
