Jun 25, 2023 · At the suggestion of Manny Charlton, the group’s old friend Zal Cleminson, from The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, was invited to join for arguably the heaviest Nazareth record of all, 1979’s No Mean City. The twin-guitar sound worked well on May The Sunshine and Star, which both became hit singles, even in the UK.

  7. The band moved to London in 1970 and released their self titled debut album in 1971. After getting some attention in 1972 with their second album Exercises, Nazareth supported Deep Purple on tour and released the Roger Glover-produced Razamanaz, in early 1973. The collection spawned two UK Top Ten hits, "Broken Down Angel" and "Bad Bad Boy".
