Lakehurst is located on the eastern portion of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. - formerly known as Naval Air Engineering Station (NAES) Lakehurst. Lakehurst lies on approximately 7,400 of the joint base's 42,000 contiguous acres and is centrally located in the New Jersey Pinelands.
