Our trip began in Taos, making a few stops of interest: Taos Pueblo, Rio Grande Gorge, and Greater World Earthship Community. We finished in the village of Tres Piedras. US 84 actually ends approximately one mile (1.6 km) east of downtown Pagosa Springs at a T-intersection with US 160 (Main Street). South of Pagosa Springs, the 28 miles (45 km) of the Colorado section of US 84 pass through a portion of San Juan National Forest.
US 64 runs east to Marion and West Memphis, where it meets I-40 and Interstate 55 to continue east over the Mississippi River on the Memphis & Arkansas Bridge to Memphis, Tennessee. A segment of US 64 in Crittenden County is also known as Military Road and is the oldest road in the state.
U.S. Route 64 (US 64) starts at an intersection with US 160 at Teec Nos Pos on the Navajo Nation. The highway then heads southeast passing an intersection with Bureau of Indian Affairs Route 5028 (BIA 5028) at the edge of town across the highway from the Teec Nos Pos Trading Post.

Apr 5, 2022 · US 385 and US 64 joined in Capulin and came into Raton from the east, via what is now US 64-87 (Clayton Road), ending at today's Business 25 (2nd Street, which was US 85 back then). That intersection probably also marked the north end of US 485.

Route description. US 84 enters New Mexico at Rio Arriba County 28 miles (45 km) south of its terminus at US 160. About six miles (9.7 km) south of the Colorado –New Mexico state line, US 64 comes from the west and travels concurrently with US 84 for the next 28 miles (45 km).
