Hal Jordan, one of the characters known as Green Lantern, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created in 1959 by writer John Broome and artist Gil Kane, and first appeared in Showcase #22 (October 1959).
After several battles, Hal Jordan bonded with an entity representing the full power of the entire emotional spectrum, becoming a White Lantern, capable of destroying the Black Lanterns’ main power battery.
