Nov 26, 2021 · The don built this beautiful mansion within the sugarcane plantation in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, in remembrance of his wife, Maria Braga, a Portuguese from Macau who succumbed while giving birth to their 11th child.
It was built in 1912 by Don Mariano Lacson in memory of his late first wife Maria Braga , a Portuguese from Macao. Thus, it is also known as Taj Mahal of Negros. It was razed to fire by the American with the consent of owner in order to be refrain from becoming a Japanese headquarter during that time.
