DeShone Allen Kizer (/ˈkaɪzər/; born January 3, 1996) is an American former football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft .

The second of four children, Kizer is the son of Derek Kizer, a police officer, and Mindy Kizer, a bailiff. His father played basketball at Bowling Green from 1987 to 1991 and then played for one season in France. DeShone’s mother was also athletic during her prime as a three-sport athlete at Clyde High in Ohio.
