I was honestly kinda disappointed with the first season too, it felt like they took a ton of time to put all kind of caveats and justifications for why The Punisher is the way he is, which worked against a character that in the comics is basically a murder machine.
I feel bad because I realize Netflix is going to can this show (like every other marvel series), but I’ve never felt more right about a punisher casting. Jon is an amazing Frank, and if there was ever someone who deserved to transition into the cinematic universe of Marvel, it would be him.
