Mar 26, 2023 · Young Wallander won’t be returning for a third season at Netflix, What’s on Netflix has learned. First debuting on Netflix back in September 2020, the series from the production company Yellow Bird is based on the detective originally found in the Henning Makell novels.
In November 2020, the series was renewed for a second season, which was premiered on Netflix on 17 February 2022, subtitled as Killer's Shadow. There are no plans for a season 3.

Netflix has officially canceled Young Wallander and they have no plans to bring the show back for a third season. The show's viewing figures did not impress Netflix. The show's second season only managed to break into the top ten list in the US for three days before dropping out.
