Executive producer Eddie Guzelian was dismissed midseason due to creative differences [18] and replaced with former series writer and producer Judd Lynn. Lynn did not immediately return when the franchise was reacquired by Saban but returned as showrunner with Power Rangers Dino Charge in 2015.
The ending that Eddie Guzelian had in mind was going to have Dillon become the final host for Venjix, leaving the other Rangers forced to kill him in order to save humanity. A very dark ending for what had been becoming a very dark season of Power Rangers, and was to be the final season until Saban got it back.
