Description. The Ridge Trail to Giant Mountain Peak is the best way to access Giant Mountain Peak. This trail is very steep, with almost 3,000 feet of elevation gain over three miles to the summit. Once you arrive at the high peak, the summit views are spectacular.

Oct 13, 2023 · October 13, 2023. Giant Mountain, oh boy, what a hike! Giant Mountain and Rocky Peak are located in Keene, New York, which is apart of the Adirondack Mountains. They are also, apart of the Adirondack 46er Challenge. Giant is the 12th highest peak out of the 46ers and Rocky is the 20th.
There are approximately 30 miles of marked, maintained trails within the largely mountainous Giant Mountain Wilderness. Giant Mountain (4,627 ft.) - There are five trails that can be used to reach the summit of Giant Mountain. The summit is open rock which provides a 360 degree view of the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain Valley.
Overview. Standing alone in the St. Huberts area as the twelfth highest in the Adirondack range and is one of the more dramatic peaks in the park. The peak has two dominate ridges that meet at the summit to form a large basin or washbowl on its western side. The peak is also crisscrossed by slides that give is a most dramatic appearance.
