Kam Fong Chun (born Kam Tong Chun; May 27, 1918 – October 18, 2002) was an American police officer and actor, best known for his role as Chin Ho Kelly, a police detective on the CBS television network series Hawaii Five-O . Life. Kam Fong Chun was born in the Kalihi neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Oct 30, 2002 · Kam Fong Chun played detective Chin Ho Kelly on "Hawaii Five-O" from 1968 to 1978. Chun died Oct. 18 after a long battle with inoperable lung cancer, according to a written statement released today by his son, Dennis Chun. He was born in May 1918 in Honolulu.
