Melk Abbey (German: Stift Melk) is a Benedictine abbey above the town of Melk, Lower Austria, on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube river, adjoining the Wachau valley. The abbey contains the tomb of Saint Coloman of Stockerau and the remains of several members of the House of Babenberg , Austria's first ruling dynasty.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site marks the western entrance of the Wachau region, which is a culturally-significant, scenic river valley famous for its castle ruins, terraced vineyards, and riverside villages.
The guided tour takes guests through the former Imperial guest rooms where the exhibit features highlights of Melk Abbey’s history, its art treasures, as well as its current tasks and activities, then to the Marble Hall, the balcony which provides a breathtaking view of the town of Melk and the Danube Valley landscape, and the abbey library.
