Rainier offers a large selection of swaged lead core copper plated bullets that are low in cost but substantially high in accuracy. Rainier swages their bullets twice with lead wire in an effort to ensure the tightest uniformity as well as prevention of premature wearing of barrels.

I'm currently loading Nosler 135gr JHP bullets over 7grs of Unique. That combination shoots well out of my S&W 40 Shield with low recoil.
Jan 10, 2015 · I load Berry's 180gr FP (5.3gr UNIQUE, 1.135" OAL = 177PF) as my primary plated and Zero Brand (5.3gr UNIQUE, 1.135" OAL = 170PF) as my primary jacketed. I have loaded 1,000's of Berry's and they are pretty consistent and accurate when you dial them in with the right powder charge and OAL.

The cores are copper plated, then restruck once more. Though not common in the industry, this restrike process produces a bullet that is more uniform, with a more precise diameter and a smoother finish for a better shooting and better looking bullet.
Dec 21, 2009 · I just loaded 500 rounds of 230gr .45ACP with Rainier Plated round nose. I kid you not, this is the most accurate bullet I have ever shot out of my Kimber Custom II. I loaded a variety of different powder charges, all Unique. Everywhere from 5.8 grains up to 6.8.
Overexposure to lead vapor can cause serious health problems, but these bullets feature a lead core that is completely covered by copper plating. They are resized after being plated with approximately 0.004" of copper plating.
