The Nightmare is a 1.2/1.7 solo Easy Demon created, verified, and published by Jax. It is the most downloaded and liked Demon level in the game, appearing first on the list when searching for Demons without any filters. It is the second level in the Demon Pack 3. The level starts with quite a basic ball segment. The player must change gravity numerous times while hitting some orbs or pads. After switching gravity in a four-block-wide passage, there are yellow pads that the player must not hit, while they must change gravity up and down. The fourth and final jump pad is the only one that should be used and will bring the player into a narrow pass. The player must change gravity along with the hills going up and down.
Afterward, the player enters a mirrored cube sequence. This part is basic, as the jumps are not too confusing or fast, and there are no fakes. In the middle, the player reverts from being mirrored.
Next, there is another ball sequence. The player needs to change gravity to dodge the incoming obstacles. At the end of the section, the player must change their gravity before entering the portal. Otherwise, the player will enter the cube portal in reverse gravity and crash.
After entering the cube portal, the player gets launched by a yellow pad into a ship portal. The ship sequence requires the player to navigate through a stream of pillars made of invisible blocks, with small colored blocks for guidance. The player enters a cube portal to fall onto a sequence of blocks. The last block contains an invisible spike that the player must jump over. The next ship part immediately after is slightly harder. It is the same concept, but there is a gravity switch in the middle.
After falling down another sequence of blocks, the player enters a ship sequence similar to Cycles, switching gravity constantly. Following is a cube sequence, the same as the other two, except a gap is in the middle. The next ship sequence, the final one in this pattern, requires just flying upside-down through a series of pillars.
After the following cube sequence, there is a ball sequence with numerous gravity portals. These gravity portals, however, are only used to cross gaps. Here, the player must flip gravity whenever there is a gap to avoid crashing. After this part, the extension begins.
