   Is Toki Messe worth it?

   • Toki Messe is easily seen from Bandai bridge, and it’s a genuinely pleasant walk down the river from there. It was a little hard to find the lift to the observation deck, but the views from the top are worth it. You can see out as far as Sado Island, and some breathtaking mountains if you look inland on a clear day.

It houses several institutions including an art gallery, observation deck and the Hotel Nikko which contain several restaurants. Whilst travelling on the ferry to Sado Island we could use this building as a landmark.

   Jun 2019. This is the tallest building and I suspect the most modern in Niigata. It houses several institutions including an art gallery, observation deck and the Hotel Nikko which contain several restaurants. Whilst travelling on the ferry to Sado Island we could use this building as a landmark. The building is also on the Loop Bus route.
