    Background

Twisted is a storm chasing game on Roblox made by the creators, Willzuh and Siryzm, who have made other storm chasing related titles such as Tornado Simulator 3 and Storm Tracker Remastered. Twisted takes place in the fictional midwestern/Southeastern US state called Keysota.

There are 3 counties within the map, each with several towns sprinkled around. The 3 largest cities are Hazelton, Viroqua, and Hibbing. More information about the towns can be found here. Lakes sprinkle the southwest portion of the map, and a river flowing from a giant lake can be seen in the northeastern portion of the map. The westernmost side is...

    Reflectivity

This is the default radar upon opening the radar map. Reflectivity is used to see precipitation and mostly lines up with the clouds. Most often, green, yellow and red represents rain, while white, pink and cyan represents hail. Reflectivity is also used to locate hook echoes. There are two different radars located on the map, the main radar being long-range reflectivity which scans every part of the map other than the southeast corner, labeled "KHZL", named after the City of Hazelton. The oth...

    Base Velocity

You can change your radar to base velocity by clicking on the button that says 'reflectivity' in the bottom right corner. You can switch it back by pressing it again. Base Velocity displays the windspeed and direction. And negative values (green, blue, purple) displayed show wind moving towards the radar's location. Positive values (red, tan) displayed show wind moving away from the radars location. Very vibrant colors on opposite ends of the spectrum are touching on the long side, known as c...

Thermodynamics are the best way to determine how a day will go. Generally, the more red each point on the thermodynamics menu is, the better storms and tornadoes you will have. The thermodynamics menu consists of a 3 day risk outlook which include: General Thunderstorm (TSTM), Marginal (MRGL), Slight (SLGT), Enhanced (ENH), Moderate (MDT), and High...

Storms normally begin to form from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., depending on the risk/thermos for the day. You can spot a storm forming by viewing an expanding cloud, or by viewing a patch of blue reflectivity on radar. It eventually doubles and triples its size, having greens, yellows, and oranges. After becoming a giant anvil supercell, the core will start...

After the storm forms the hail core, it will eventually form a hook. Hooks form before mesocyclones. From the ground, mesocyclones are identified by clouds lower than the cloud base, constantly rotation around itself, or by a tornado vortex signature (TVS) appearing on radar. Mesocyclones can produce funnels, and when a funnel touches the ground (t...

The damage is on a scale of EF0 through EF5. It is based off of damage indicators that the National Weather Service use. If the tornado deals no damage, it is labeled as an EFU, or an EF-Unknown. You can rate damage by buying the National Weather Service gamepass, which in return, gives in-game cash. An asterisk * means the damage is from a signifi...

    Mesocyclone

Also known as rotation or ROT, these are used to call out a circulation of air in cumulonimbus clouds that usually indicates the start (or end!) of a tornado.

    Hook

A weather radar signature as part of some supercell thunderstorms, a hook echo coinciding with a mesocyclone and tornado vortex signature (TVS). It mostly looks like a hook in the game in 1.19.

    TD

TD is an acronym/abbreviation for "Touchdown". It is commonly used when a funnel appearing from a mesocyclone touches the ground and forms into a tornado. When a tornado is formed, someone can use the term "TD" to alert other storm chasers about a new tornado.
