Glew earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from U.C. Berkeley in 1985 and an M.S. in 1987. He then received an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University in 1995. He later earned his Ph.D. in 2003. Glew has worked in engineering since 1987.
