If you happen to be passing through the small former coal-mining town of Alfreton in Derbyshire, do stop off for a short while and take a look at the beautiful Parish Church of St Martin (sometimes referred to as St Martin of Tours).

It has seen seen several locations at least it is within a stone throw from its original location at limes ave/high St junction placed there at the original location of Dr Bingham’s house it’s a pity that it’s not working fountain but still a living memorial to one of Alfreton’s well known Benefactors.
