Sep 10, 2019 · Tasting Notes: Catskill Honey Infused American Whiskey. Vital Stats: Batch number 21, 80 proof, and 40% ABV, Mash bill of 80% rye and 20% barley. ~ $43 per 750ml bottle. Appearance: On the lighter side of a burnt orange, reminiscent of Earl Grey tea. Nose: Right away found aromas of toffee and honey.
1 day ago · Although based on bourbon, this American Honey isn’t whiskey and doesn’t taste anything like it, something that is important to remember. Even compared to most flavored whiskeys it’s outside the fold, but in my opinion a good liqueur ought to cast loose from its roots.
